get to know me
I’m Melanie Herriot-Hunt, a hair and makeup artist based in Edinburgh, with a love for all things weddings!
I live in South Queensferry, a beautiful coastal town just outside Edinburgh, with my husband and little kitty! We recently got married right in the heart of the city, so I know exactly how it feels to be in your shoes on such a special morning.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me trying something new - my latest obsessions are HYROX, spin classes, and candlelit yin at Tribe Yoga in Edinburgh. I also love to treat myself to coffee and cake (my not-so-secret weakness) while planning my next adventure to an exotic location. I’ve always had a love for exploring new places and cultures, and this played a huge part in how my business started.
Before launching my services in 2015, I earned my BSc Honours in Food, Nutrition & Health and spent several years living in South Korea teaching English. Being surrounded by the world’s most innovative beauty culture completely changed how I saw makeup and beauty - it taught me that true beauty should feel fresh, natural, and unique, never heavy or a one size fits all.
When I returned home, I trained with Sara Hill at the Academy of Makeup in Glasgow and soon after began building my career as a professional hair and makeup artist. Over the the last decade, I’ve had the privilege of working at over 800 weddings, and collaborating with brands including Chivas Regal, TED Talks, Araminta Campbell, Naked Grouse, Iolla, and Easy Jet.
My mission is to help you feel confident, radiant, and completely yourself, through a calm, luxurious, and personalised experience from start to finish.

Whether you prefer a sheer glow or fuller coverage, the result is always fresh, natural, and beautifully balanced. Eyes are softly defined to enhance your shape, and customised individual lashes subtly lift and open up the eyes. With delicate contour, blush, and highlight, I bring gentle structure and radiance to the face so your glow feels effortless, never overdone.

Every style is crafted to move naturally and photograph beautifully, so you feel elegant, confident, and beautifully put together from every angle.
